So Foundry is definitely more complex than roll20- But I also think its SIGNIFICANTLY better. So much more control, much better performance, looks and feels so much better.

I know I harp on stuff like this quite a bit, but if you ONLY have goodie-goodie guards that are bright shining examples of law you are; One, lying to yourself by pretending that's realistic, And two, limiting yourself by sticking to "GUARDS = GOOD, BANDITS = BAD".

Yeah hey so I know that "keep politics out of my games" is one of those views that appears alot in the TTRPG Community, but uh- Guards, police, and other authorities shouldn't always be shown as good guys. Sometimes, they're just dudes who like to have and abuse power. ...much like in real life.

I made all of this cool stuff but my players might not get over to that stuff this campaign, and the next campaign won't happen for like, A YEAR, but if I try to just squeeze the cool thing in there it won't make sense-
Better just make more stuff.

Tip from a long-time GM;
Can't do voices for those NPCs?
Alright, no big deal. Just describe how they talk. Do they stutter slightly? Do they have a deep, growly voice?
Hell, if you can even just do their mannerisms, it will add to the immersion quite a bit.

TTRPG Worldbuilding Tip of the Day; Make your worlds weird. Your players are going to remember the bizarre landscapes and strange cultures much more than they will ever remember "Lord of The Rings, but I changed some stuff". Take a deep breath, jump right in, and make it weird.

I've never heard of a sociopath being "made"... Though it is also important to keep in mind that personality disorders do not always translate into bad people. There are perfectly nice, nonviolent people out there who would be diagnosed as psychopaths.

I use blender to help get ideas down for how NPC equipment looks.
