A recent surgery has left four holes in my chest. Lovingly, I've named them a worm hole, a black hole, a plot hole, and a loop hole. No matter which one you fall into, when you surface on the other side, ridiculous is all you'll be.

There's been a river gushing outside my window since yesterday. I think some mischievous kid must have laid it down there to disorient people in this neighbourhood. If I leave a paper boat in its troubled waters, will it reach a shore safe enough to exist after the river's folded away into oblivion?

Because I had no spare change, I gave her a drop of rain. Keep it under your pillow, I told her, and one day it'll turn to petrichor. She had a pillow, she said, but no earth to sleep on. So, I gave her my barbed wire. Now, you do, I said, just ignore the pain.

I bought the Bengali translation of the 1st Tintin book I read. The translation is so, so good. Bengali has some of the best phrases and expressions. The jokes land so well! Apologies, but the English translation is no match!! Tintin's first language is French, second Bengali. 😛

Even a grain of sand cries. It casts shadows in a space beneath your eyes where a thousand yesterdays have gathered for a bonfire chat. Even a patient tear burns. Don't let it spill on the dress your father gave you. It'll tear through, doing a poor job of covering your scars.

You cannot kill time. The last time I stabbed it, I only ended up creating a time when I had stabbed time. Time doesn't fly either. I've made a paper plane out of it and whisked it out my window. It remained stuck midair in its own sweet time. The earth around it moved.
