I think overall it also kind of ends up distorting the point of the project. The ideal is not that workers are to be elevated because they contribute to society, but that workers, rather than their employers, should be the primary beneficiaries of their labor.

I hope they pull it off! But they don’t have it yet. The research has a lot of promise but it hasn’t proven the end goal of generating energy at any cost, never mind what would be required for mass production, and we don’t know what the lifetime of reactor materials will be.

I’m sure - but I think that’s really far off; it’s one thing to build a facility that can use fusion to output more power than it requires, but another to sell the power for more than it costs to operate
