If your concern is Trump winning the left not voting for Democrats isn't your problem. That would be a historically unpopular incumbent running against an authoritarian populist while sundowning. The 40 to 50% of eligible voters who don't vote are not going to turn out for a senile old man.

The Taft–Hartley Act is where the decline of labor organizing started and every subsequent law has been put into place to limit the power of the union not help it. We must organize outside of the law.

The left shouldn't be voting at all. It's a waste of time. Left power via the electoral system will never work in the current American system. Only through labor organization and a he building on the ground social power that functions outside of the political system will the left secure power.
