Massachusetts is a state that proves time and time again that it will give lip service to public transit while prioritizing cars. And that means that people choose cars over dysfunctional and inadequate public transit. It's a rational choice and sometimes an unavoidable one.

So, I can’t stop thinking about this, an entire street lost power but the electric company only knows that if we all report it? That seems…primitive?

My husband went out & got ice so we won’t lose the contents of our fridge. We ate cold food by candlelight & told stories. The first floor is about 80°, not terrible. The electric truck is working on the poles. Oh boy the power is back on!!!

We’ll graze lunch things, it’s cool. I’m on the spectrum & not the best at pivoting when things go sideways, but it’s not a disaster really. Just having a fantasy where being able to eat whatever would be so helpful right now, but that’s not a thing!

Power’s out right as I was about to cook dinner 😩 We are all on specific foods and do not order out ever because for us it’s not a treat, it makes us feel sick. My husband went to get ice so I can put some things in a cooler we can get to. Mom will happily eat Greek yogurt for dinner so that’s fine
