having kids w/ a big age gap is great b/c sometimes you're thinking, 'i sure could use a pick me up' and you walk in the room and the baby is sitting there w/ a googly eye sticker in the middle of his forhead while your other kid giggles knowingly from somewhere else in the house

Moonlight and Needle Teeth will be here October 1! I could not be more thrilled and honored to appear in this issue. I've been writing about Belonging since grad school in 2016. Its been a recurring theme in my fiction. ALSO FIYAH was my first fiction sale, so in a way, this feels like coming home.
