The “Save the Children Convoy” has finally ended. Convoy leaders are accusing each other of “smear campaigns” and “disgraceful” behaviour while a local farmer says he’s been left with piles of garbage, rancid food and thousands of dollars in unpaid bills.

They noted security screening is handled by someone else (it was hard to pin down who exactly is responsible, but my understanding is it’s the House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms). Unlike last time, it sounds like two of them were barred entry at the door.

They are booking these press conferences through the Parliamentary Press Gallery, who told me it’s not their role to decide who does and doesn’t get to speak

New docs tabled in Foreign Interference Inquiry shows government monitored “pro-BJP” bots and fake accounts harassing Canadian activists, journalists and politicians. Data collected by the Atlantic Council’s DFR Lab found a network of “covert or automated accounts” on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

NEW: Ottawa’s police board is ordering a review of the police response to the convoy “fireworks incident” on Family Day weekend. After ConvoyWatch contacted the board for comment on a fact-check, the board acknowledged a “discrepancy” in information presented to the board by Ottawa‘s police chief.
