While running games this weekend, I noticed that my public-GM patter includes describing 🎲🎲 as "snake eyes" and a double six as "box cars." Pretty common US English expressions. My international listeners did understand, but it got me wondering: are there similar expressions in other languages?

ark Sun has a bit of a reputation for being the edgy, tryhard #dnd setting, but when you meet a monster like the tohr-kreen -- a deadly mantis warrior who's also a fancy Dan with a passion for antiques -- you can't help but smile.

I think those age ranges are a little off. I'm 45 and Phantom Menace came out when I was at university. It was such a profound disappointment, and I think that's what everyone in my cohort feels as well. People in their 40s and 50s grew up with the originals.

The older I get, the more willing I am to say that certain aspects of gameplay just aren't that enjoyable. I'm not saying nobody likes them, but I think it's a lot fewer people than we have sometimes assumed. Anyway, here's an episode of Monster Man.

Finished my second Mini Gangs gang -- these guys are meant to be a colourful contrast to the more muted tones of the last bunch. I think of them as "what if the Power Rangers hunted humans for sport?" 3rd ed. DE bodies, Ramshackle (and Northstar) heads, and a few Stargrave bits.
