The signing went REALLY WELL. Librarians who were given arcs came back to trade them in for the real books, which I saw for the first time in San Diego! Even made new author friends. Can't truly express how good it feels that my story connected with so many!

It was never inflation. They got greedy and people started stealing to survive. Walmart, Kroger, and others also did the same and saw increased shrink and decreased sales. Basic fuckin maths here.

My review from Kirkus is in. It kind of stopped my heart for a second. When I wrote Daydreamer, I was really thinking of Black kids who grew up in the 80's, meant to feel like we didn't belong in the classroom. But the audience is bigger than us, and so far, I think they're really getting it.

As I was discussing earlier with some friends, this is surprisingly accurate. You know how it's difficult to summarize your own story for pitches? THIS is what I'd use AI for. Something I wouldn't pay somebody else to write, but also hate doing myself, then work out the details. .
