There's an interesting demographic system where a lot of people who were furries in the 1990s / early 2000s are staffing cons. And they're either leaving or burning out with very few younger furs willing to helm them. The death of furry cons may come from apathy.

Still quantifying it, but I suspect I can't actually fully stress this setup without swapping out for a wider mag-ring motor and a battery to match. I dropped two kilowatts through it yesterday and couldn't get the controller's internal sense to bump past 50 celsius.

Thermal weak link is definitely now the motor, not its controller. I haven't been able to kick it hard enough to rollback the controller before I either hit the BMS overload cutoff or the motors own thermistor redline

Running some prototype sample parts on the ratbike. Heat spreader expansions for my Phaserunner. Bolt-on cooling upgrades, custom aluminum extrusions meant to fit on the existing heat spreader shoe on a seatpost or plate mount.

They genuinely save lives and quality of life. That wreck messed me up a fair bit, broke my left elbow into seven pieces, but that was the only injury. Helmet was trashed, jacket was wrecked, but I made it out with my face intact.

So when I say "he saved my life", this here is what I mean. This helmet was a gift from him. My accident, in 2022, I was wearing it. The damage speaks for itself; If I hadn't been wearing this, head injuries would have been guaranteed. The visor was torn off and the gasket wrecked. Thanks, brother.
