the NYT takes the Biden is OLD attack from the debate (and yeah those first 15 minutes were rough). Amplifies it by flooding social media with multiple stories, takes all the air for any other stories. Perpetuates it with the "people are talking" lede so it evolves into hot take-apalooza /1

I disagree Coach, Biden went to NC and did a rally the next day. Wednesday he spent time doing lengthy interviews with radio stations that reach Black Communities, Friday he did the ABC thing. What happens to those responses is that the NYT eats all of the media oxygen with full press bullshit.

while it can be easy to lose faith in Americans based on the media narratives... yet... post debate Biden STILL outraised Trump post the debate; polls of undecided voters in various media focus groups indicated that Biden won and in each election post Dobbs people vote for Abortion, everywhere.

I guess for me that there is (as always) enough tragedy to go around and to get our attention and turn that into a political will to act is a hard sell. We have home grown Fascism as a proxy for class warfare globally, climate crisis, Ukraine, Palestine, Congo, Sudan ... there's a lot to unfuck.

I hear ya, I do feel its a lot easier to clean my feed here, sealion identification and complete tankies are easier to spot and relegate to the ignore pile... I don't have an issue with a difference in opinion because that helps to have different POVs, except for Nazi's, fuck those guys.

for the most part, both the storytelling and the acting were solid. I feel the same way about the Outer Limits, although the effects were more campy because it was early-mid sixties and special effects could only do so much. both series offered up moral and ethical choices, sans religion.

I really believe it will Chris. Some of us have been keeping receipts long enough to know what the NYT is playing at. Also noting how other networks are following along.. yet, when the polls are checked and the money coming in... Dems are behind this ticket. Sad that the NYT feels otherwise.

bullshit, this is done by the NYT. Just check their pages, look at the number of Biden is OLD items. Now look for the number of articles about Trump's debate performance and the SCOTUS immunity decision. The NYT leads and the rest follow. same fucking pattern.

this is the SAME fucking pattern that they pulled on HRC and her e-mails. There are plenty of appearances and events that have taken place since the debates, the NC Rally, the Debate after-party, the Black Radio station interviews. No issues reported.
