I guess for me that there is (as always) enough tragedy to go around and to get our attention and turn that into a political will to act is a hard sell. We have home grown Fascism as a proxy for class warfare globally, climate crisis, Ukraine, Palestine, Congo, Sudan ... there's a lot to unfuck.

they do have an extraordinary record of being wrong don't they?
and its the type of being wrong, they're always propping up the GOP and despite their best efforts to tell us that "they're really not THAT bad", they get elected and fuck everything up and we go back to the Dems.

it's like they know almost zero old people in their lives or could excuse 20 minutes of less than debate performance? Did he sound better at the end? yes, yes he did! Did DJT lie his ass off so bigly that Biden had trouble trying to pick which lie to counter? most assuredly so.

it's also kind of nifty to see so many familiar faces that crop up in these shows that became "famous" in their later careers. It's was a character actor extravaganza.

I hear ya, I do feel its a lot easier to clean my feed here, sealion identification and complete tankies are easier to spot and relegate to the ignore pile... I don't have an issue with a difference in opinion because that helps to have different POVs, except for Nazi's, fuck those guys.

very possible but still better engagement than with Nazi's!
Still, old enough to remember how the NYT and the media ran with this same game plan against HRC. Just sad to see it be as effective as it is.

for the most part, both the storytelling and the acting were solid.
I feel the same way about the Outer Limits, although the effects were more campy because it was early-mid sixties and special effects could only do so much.
both series offered up moral and ethical choices, sans religion.

it has to be one of the biggest lies ever sold by the GOP that the media and especially the NYT is part of a cabal of "liberal media". Another one of those "facts not in evidence" moments and STILL we have broadcast journos tugging the forelock to the Old Grey Lady as if she deserved respect.

I really believe it will Chris.
Some of us have been keeping receipts long enough to know what the NYT is playing at. Also noting how other networks are following along.. yet, when the polls are checked and the money coming in... Dems are behind this ticket. Sad that the NYT feels otherwise.

since that time we have had....
after party
NC Rally
Radio interviews
and a shitpotfull of the old tried and true... concerns have been noted, some people say, brows are furrowed.
people are still talking about it, why? because they(media) refuse to let it die as the nothingburger this is.

suddenly ol' smiling Joe (at 81) has to show that he's on the job with tip-top mental acuity 24/7. Was DJT ever held to that standard? Is anyone ever capable of that standard?
Even if proof is offered, would they accept it or will the goalposts be moved YET AGAIN.
we have 1 (ONE) example

I'm just a voice in the void, but please, to everyone freaking out... Please think back a few years to the HRC campaign when suddenly the only topic was e-mails. Did HRC do anything wrong? No. Was she being held to a standard the other side couldn't even hope to match? Yes
this is the same

bullshit, this is done by the NYT.
Just check their pages, look at the number of Biden is OLD items. Now look for the number of articles about Trump's debate performance and the SCOTUS immunity decision.
The NYT leads and the rest follow.
same fucking pattern.

this is the SAME fucking pattern that they pulled on HRC and her e-mails.
There are plenty of appearances and events that have taken place since the debates, the NC Rally, the Debate after-party, the Black Radio station interviews. No issues reported.

it took over a decade to earn this result and earn it they did, EVEN with the media in the bag for them. It took a constant middle finger to the entire country and a long unrequited romance of fascism to bring them to this point.

apparently as far as the NYT is concerned, there are no ethics in journalism, kind of like there's no crying in Baseball.

Coming from unidentified sources within the paper, some say that there are deep clouds of concern from the editorial staff that the paper isn't doing enough to identify threats to deal with the nation's troubling tendency to adhere to Democratic standards. More false equivalency may be needed.

makes me wonder how much of it may be twisted guilt trip projection because they too have had an impure thot that involves kids or animals or inanimate objects.
To discount how much of our national angst is tied up in sexual guilt is a fools game it seems.

just a reminder that during the American Revolution, the Tories were roughly 30% of the population. They ended up being such a shitty bunch that most of the middle threw in with the rebels over the long haul.
Think we can safely place the NYT in with the "Tories" category.
