I increasingly believe that these individual acts, whether they are Bills passed or legal challenges, are all adding to the mitigation effort. No they are not "solving" climate change & no they are not "enough", but they are helping to hold back the tide & might save half a degree. That matters.

Anything that hinders fossil fuel companies, or blocks extraction, or makes it slightly more difficult to extract maximum profit, even for a moment, might buy us time & make the gigantic shit storm of climate change slightly easier for someone. I reckon we'd be in even bigger trouble otherwise.

Continuously impressed with how much regional and lower govts are willing to push things in the face of mori und and sclerotic national governments, both here and overseas. Heartening to see LGNZ and a majority of mayors/chairs come out for Maori wards, because it helps them get shit done, faster.
