Luxury holiday destination - Mallorca airport is flooded due to extremely overheated oceans and an extremely overheated Mediterranean causing extreme rain in a very short period. Climate change doesn’t care if a location is wealthy or not - the impacts are global and everywhere.

Edinburgh has banned ads for airlines, SUVs & cruises to support climate action. And they are not the first city to do so. I'd be so proud to live in a city that did this, what a great act of defiance.

Anything that hinders fossil fuel companies, or blocks extraction, or makes it slightly more difficult to extract maximum profit, even for a moment, might buy us time & make the gigantic shit storm of climate change slightly easier for someone. I reckon we'd be in even bigger trouble otherwise.

I increasingly believe that these individual acts, whether they are Bills passed or legal challenges, are all adding to the mitigation effort. No they are not "solving" climate change & no they are not "enough", but they are helping to hold back the tide & might save half a degree. That matters.
