For those frustrated by calls for Biden to step down, note that it’s implicit that Trump is illegitimate & an existential threat. Any call for him to step down has been & would be ignored. For Biden, it’s an appeal to make way for a candidate without health issues who can beat Trump.

Just listened to a good episode of Ezra Klein’s podcast with Elaine Kamarck on how an open Democratic Convention would work. Ezra effectively addresses the concerns of selecting a new candidate, & Elaine makes a convincing case that this process is more than feasible & could be highly advantageous.

Comics take so long & the world changes so fast. I often wonder what kind of world we’ll be living in when my book is done. On the other hand, your work will outlive you. I try to make something that will stand the test of time & isn’t about the heat of the moment.

Who knows, perhaps stepping down may be disastrous, but Biden’s decline is a legitimate concern that’s not going away. It’s more than one bad night & he’s not getting younger. At his age, he might not last the next four years. The kind of prepping you mentioned is something we need to do NOW.

My friend, you cannot predict the future. We have no idea who will win this race and we better be prepared to back whoever’s at the top of the ticket, whether it be Biden, Buttigieg or Kamala Harris- who we elected to be Biden’s successor. This is a simple fact.

Couldn’t agree with you more about AB. So many things to hate-one that gets under my skin is how Spacey wants an “easy” job so he works at McDonalds, which is certainly a shit job, but it ain’t fucking easy by any stretch. One of it’s many clueless, insultingly privileged “observations”.

I know what you mean-that phrase gets overused when talking about older work & putting it in a present day context- but I think it’s pretty apt with this book specifically: The “Make America Great Again” cult, it’s political focus, and use of digital art-in 1998! Pretty uncanny.

I remember it seeming really left field when it came out. I took WAAY too long to get around to it. You were just a couple decades too early! This subject matter would totally fit into todays landscape-tho it remains one of a kind. I hope more folks catch on to it eventually.
