Having just subjected myself to some *awful* prose, this evening I'm going to relish some wonderful writing. I'm thinking Elmore Leonard will hit the spot.
(Don't scoff, he was a *master* craftsman.)
Names are really important in his books, nearly all his books ( though I’ve not read them all) includes a scene where a character’s name is either changed, revealed or commented upon.
Would never dream of scoffing, Elmore Leonard is literally one of the reasons I'm a writer today. Absolute master, and his ear for dialogue is impeccable.
