Those arguing that it was inappropriate to pursue Trump in NY need to account for the fact that every other political and legal mechanism to hold him publicly accountable before the next election has failed.

Yeah, like we really expected any of the serious cases to be tried before the election. We’ve only had 3.5 years since 1/6/21…NOT LIKE THERE WAS A LOT OF TIME TO GET IT DONE…

One big difference, IMO, is that Bragg seems to have made "let's get the damn trial done" a priority in a way that Smith and Willis have not. e.g. Smith could have brought a simple obstruction of justice charge that wouldn't have had all the classified document concerns.

🤣 Then Trump should not have chosen to commit 34 felonies in New York.

Right? Much respect to AG James DA Bragg and Atty Robbie Kaplan for doing what no one else has been able/willing to do and that is to hold Trump accountable for his unlawful actions.

the failure of the other prosecutions to deliver before the election doesn't justify the NY prosecution. fortunately, though, the NY case was justified entirely on its own merits. He committed a serious felony, and a jury of his peers determined his guilt after a fair trial.

There's not one single leader of a US security partner who thinks it was inappropriate.

They are dismantling the Republic in full view and with a broad grin, while most liberals and centrists continue to pretend that there's nothing to see, or that voting will fix things.

Max Frisch's "The Arsonists" is as timely as ever (at 26:35):

Amazing how courts keep interfering with Grand Juries and Trial Juries decisions. Regular people are holding him and his mafioso accountable over and over and yet berobed freaks from FedSoc keep halting the will of the people.
