Politics and glitter. BU alum.
As someone who is not the best extemporaneous speaker, taking a second or two to figure out thoughts is sort of normal. Idk, I think slow talking Joe who is clearly gobsmacked over what Trump is saying than Mr Ranting and Raving and showing only a tenuous connection to reality

Tbf Bernie hasn’t ever really cared about the Democratic Party. Am I still miffed about how sore of a loser he was in the 2016 primary? Sure bc suggesting that the only reason you lost was the primary was rigged bc you didn’t learn who could vote in which state?

I’m just saying that a savvy Democrat or Biden social media person should just start playing clips of “There Are
No Cats in America” from the first Fievel movie with “there are
No Kings in America” to win over a lot of millennials.

Cats: Oh look, these people seem to have a lot of mice around… oooh that feels good… ::purr::
Human: look at this cute animal, omg what’s that noise? This truly is the best thing ever.
::cat attempts to jump on to a table and fails spectacularly::
Human: Lol

Feral kittens can easily be domesticated if caught early enough, and I’ve met plenty of street cats that eventually become friendly if you spend enough time feeding them and hanging around them. (Probably bc cats know a mark when they see one)

The US has a wild horse overpopulation problem but culling herds and using that meat is forbidden in the states (so the horses end up at abattoirs abroad). Anyway, most cultures have taboos on eating companion animals.

You know what’s a great small animal for meat? Rabbits. Whole Foods had to pull rabbit out of its meat department because pet rabbit owners were upset. So yeah, I can think of many reasons why cats and dogs will never be a protein source here

The very wealthy don’t care but the people I know who hunt - and also donate most of the venison to soup kitchens and stuff - do care. The greatest lie is that protecting the habitat as an area is enough when we need also need to keep the habitat the same climate zone

I also maintain the reaching out to hunters and pointing out that with climate change there won’t be healthy deer, turkeys and ducks to hunt.

That’s the problem: if it succeeds the opposition tries to say it was because of them… and bc the GOP comes across as masculine those voices overpower Democrats.

2) the majority are probably Roman Catholic which will only help our diocese (parish?)
3) This can be a boon for Spanish Language learners - especially middle and hs - bc you have native Spanish speakers PLUS

I think it’s the idea that anything the Democrats do is impinging upon their rights bc taxes and misuse of funds. Bc spending their “hard earned money” on the undeserving is a crime. (nb : I grew up in a v white poor county - I doubt anyone is thinking of race when class is right there)

Why should we allow it to be? Especially when countries and empires decline when the point of government is to ensure that power and wealth are in the hands of the few instead of spreading both to its citizens.

Twitter/Bluesky: 45% lots of highly informed voters
TikTok: still gonna say around 40% - TikTok skews older than we think and those in Gen Z and Aloha who pay attention care but not for local
