it's funny that he went on to wear aviators in a later movie (top gun, for the uninitiated), because the risky business folks wanted him to wear them in that movie. unfortunately the casting director thought the aviators were too masculine when they were going for a look that was way fairer.

The flipside is I don't need to call my rep, because she made a statement I agreed with and also signed onto AOC's articles of impeachment re: Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito. She hears from me when she needs to, but she's also way out in front of most things I care about.

I like podcasts for the most part. Solid Verbal just got a bit formulaic for me and SZD went to a pay model when I couldn't afford it so I never jumped on. Everything now is mostly betting bullshit.

i used to check no fewer than eight places for CFB stuff every Sunday and Monday (and Thursday and Friday). Now there's nothing worth reading. And I supported those places financially or otherwise when they still existed

i really just miss there being a variety of places to go read about college football. it was nice to know that so-and-so wasn't for me and that me not reading them wouldn't have an effect, because the ecosystem was healthy. having only a handful of people who aren't gambling people is depressing.
