I feel like too many shows are plot driven instead of character driven these days. I want longer seasons where I can spend more time with the characters and watch them grow. Most shows I watch I don't even know the characters names anymore. I just remember them as the person who did that thing.

It will never not boggle my mind when I’m the only person masking IN A HOSPITAL. I honestly get why most people don’t mask anymore going about their day-to-day lives, but in a hospital where there are so many germs and vulnerable people I do not understand.

I'm unclear exactly what kinds of jobs you're applying to at this point but if you know anyone who works in those fields or can leverage your network to find some people to review your resume and recommend how to frame your experience to better fit what they typically look for in candidates.

Once when I saw the Milk Carton Kids in concert they were joking about how weird it is that everyone claps after every song and how it would be like every time an office worker finished a task a bunch of people clapped. I think about that all the time and am like where are the people clapping for me

I loved the dentist as a kid for the same reason. I used to ask when I got to go to the dentist and my mom thought I was a weird child because in her mind I should hate going to the dentist.

When I was a kid my dentist had a little prize box we could choose something from at the end of our appointment. I just left the dentist and feel like I should still get to choose a puffy sticker with googly eyes or a super cheap ring that will turn my finger green.

I just got out of the dentist. She was masked in a KN95. The receptionist had a surgical mask that she at least did pull up from around her chin whenever I got hear her in my mask. I have doctors' appts tomorrow and next Tuesday where I expect to be the only one masked.

We don't let our cats sleep with us. Usually they don't bother us. Molly occasionally decides she wants in to snuggle and is smart enough to know door knobs open doors which results in her just batting at the door knob repeatedly, which is super cute but also very annoying. Related: I'm tired.

Weirdly my mother's side of the family loves the Cubs despite having no connections to Chicago. My father's side of the family doesn't really care about the Cubs at all despite all being from IL, though I think it's more that they just don't care about baseball. They're not White Sox fans either.

I used to get a menu for a Chinese restaurant sent to me all the time that had a map of its location on it in context of other places. It had Johns Hopkins labeled as John Yorkins and it still makes me laugh.

When we got our cats we renamed Patrick to Loki because he is the god of mischief incarnate. We kept Molly’s name, but I like that it resulted in me constantly being able to quote this when her pesty brother is constantly trying to (play) attack her when she’s minding her own business.
