While it’s important (imo) to tell someone that their revulsion is expressing itself in racist or culturally insensitive ways, it’s another thing altogether to deploy that rhetoric in defense of white tourists searching out dog meat for kicks.

Yeah, that's the other thing. If RFK had a cultural background that involved dog/cat meat, that'd be one thing, but he is an Extremely White Guy doing the "hey lookit me Being Foreign" deal, and that would be gross no matter what he'd eaten.
