I'm saying that at no point did I assume that Neil Gaiman definitely had not had volatile and unwise relationships with people who looked up to him there's a lot more i could say but I'm worried about coming off as too flippant

The antecedent to "him" in "grey thing that I can see him doing" was Dream there, not Gaiman to be clear. I knew nothing about Gaiman's personal life before today and I was fine with that.
