Those clambering to replace Biden now are the same ones clambering to replace him before the debate. They never wanted him. I personally wish he had taken himself out of the running last fall and allowed a proper primary season. But now it’s too late.

I would have rather he taken his name out at his inauguration and treated the last 4 years as his 2nd term with nothing to run for left and let the process run like normal.
