When I was very young, the local pro soccer team (The Rowdies) always had a game on the 4th. Afterward, they'd open up the field for the fans to gather and sit and watch the fireworks and laser light show timed to music. That was impressive, and that was the last time I enjoyed fireworks.

I think (hope) people have caught on to SCOTUS getting over their skis with obviously incorrect and wildly unpopular rulings, and they will demand action. And unlike in years past, the Democratic leadership have finally seen what's been going on and will actually listen and do something about it.

well, now that you've asked. My partner left and went back to her family for mental health reasons on Friday. 1 dog is lost in the woods, and the other probably has inoperable tumors. So, yeah. doin kinda shitty myself. Sending what positive thoughts I can muster up your way.

If it's the liver, then it's a surgery I can't afford (if it's even removable). If it's the brain or the adrenal glands, then it's extremely expensive meds I can't afford. A $750 ultrasound would help determine which it is. But if I can't afford the cure, why bother with the diagnosis?

I've always said, the solution to and activist Judiciary is an active and efficient Legislature and Executive. Court comes out with a stupid ruling on Monday. Propose a bill that will correct the issue on Tuesday.

here's an idea: Assign a judge to each and every government agency with their sole responsibility to adjudicate any and all conflicts. This would mean we'd need to hire a hell of alot of new judges. Ain't no rule that says a climate science expert can't also be a judge.
