I suspect that if it were code, we’d find that an awful lot of folks would find it worth their while to get the skills. I think design costs were included in that low percent, which was given to me by an architect friend, @holz-bau.bsky.social.

So, I haven't worked on passive house design but I have worked on other green building design buildings and it's not just architects. It's energy modelers and it's people going in and doing stuff like blower door tests to certify the as builds. Already there's not enough good people to do that work
