Without some other voting system than FPTP or “winner take all” splitting any amount of votes is just suboptimal. With ranked voting cropping up in small local races that may be where a new party forms, that simply endorses D in nationwide races until it becomes big enough

It’s weird like…there’s no cultural conscious for other scientists beside sitting in a lab with a coat. A chemist is about as interesting as a cobbler.
