I imagine he will immediately declare he is running for president in 2028 so he can continue to claim all prosecution is political. I'd really like to know at what point the true believers decide to abandon ship, and how quickly after that point they pretend they were never his acolytes.

My HOA, in existence for about 30 years, wants to retcon the bylaws by saying "it was always intended" that various aesthetic choices align with the current board's interests. They sent out an email and expected it to be binding. Nope, not in the bylaws, not gonna do it.

I tried following the procedures and got a response that said “we don’t automatically grant requests and interpret them in light of local laws” So not an opt out, more of a dare for legislators I think.

I really enjoy the first edition where "a hog and a frog cavort in a bog." At some point the word "cavort" was removed from later editions and replaced with another word. But my toddler had already learned cavorting, and I thank Ms. Boynton for that.

The magnum opus, in my opinion, is "But Not the Hippopotamus." And contrary to the review, the hippopotamus does not join activities because she is shy (not excluded), and then overcomes that shyness in a triumphant resolution. The armadillo, however, remains conflicted. Apologies for the spoilers.
