I think it’s just highly engaged Dem syndrome where if you’re surrounded by other highly engaged people and in an electoral space you mistakenly think they’re like a regular voter. (Also true of some media people so not suggesting there’s only one type of person who has this problem )

This is literally the opposite of what I'm basing it all off of. Obviously the people in my political circles don't say things like this? It's the swing voters I talk to every week for door knocking that do.
