I think people fundamentally get this, but people are often incredibly angry, looking at, justifiably, the evil that any administration is always responsible for. They refuse to believe that things could ever be worse than this, or, more terrifyingly, they want it to get worse in hopes of revolution

Exactly, and I think this is the best and only argument to make with offline normies for the next few months. It's gonna be up to us to have specific examples of what we mean though.
