I went to the pool supply store and figured out a solution for keeping our 6x10 inflatable pool from costco filled instead of emptying and refilling all summer. Spoonful of chlorine shock and a skimmer is all it takes.

The St. Louis County library system gives out basically unlimited free tests at the moment, which makes our decision calculus so much easier. Think we're sick? Even maybe? Then just test, they're free. When that inevitably goes away it'll be terrible.

It's the most obvious thing! The only way my MIL knows how to talk about the (fox) news she consumes is to just repeat what she's heard but conversationally, like "everybody knows." If The Times and others would make this stuff common knowledge, It would move the needle so far.

Disagree completely, I'm a parent who's heard both movie'ssoundtracks 10k times and I prefer the sequel's songs way more. I even like the interminable remixes from the credits. Just way more interesting, way less trying to hit that pop sweet spot

I'm an STL teacher, and this is insane. I teach hundreds of kids, and there isn't a single class where someone doesn't go by something other than what's on their documentation. Nicknames! Preferred names! Middle names! Or something random because they like it!

I understand obviously the point is to dehumanize trans students but the very first thing I do with my students is ask them what they want to be called, because that's going to start us on the right foot and make every day about respecting them, if the very first thing we do is ignore that... ?!
