There is a systemic devaluation of expertise from the Global South when it comes to climate change, ecological devastations, critiques of colonial capitalism, imperialism. I was fortunate enough to have a 1-to-1 email correspondence with Dr. Huq. I was shocked to learn of his departure, and knew the world had lost a treasure. Thanks to all who are keeping his memory and his work alive.
