All preservation is fighting against clawing entropy, I think many people imagine digital storage as immune to this but it just isn't true. Preservation is a process, not an end state regardless of format. Formats with the least barriers ensure the highest chance of a work surviving

It's very American to focus on ownership above all else. By law in most of the US children are technically viewed as property of their parents So unhealthy, relationships should focus on connection, trust, forgiveness, mutual respect... But so many people get in desperation relationships

If you make any kind of art and call yourself a "content creator" I will go angry mom on your ass so fast. "Content" is corporate pabulum. You make art. Call yourself an artist, hold your head up high, and don't help bean-counters and empty suits to degrade you. They'll do that on their own.

Responding to both: I prefer snacks with whatever beverage but to avoid meals every time. A meal now and then *shrug*, but all the time is too much. With alcohol/weed, I'm open to it but don't want it to make anyone uncomfortable or unable to participate. I enjoy a good cider while playing myself

Yeah! It's hard to put into words but it is distinct from beef. It feels a bit mushroomy or earthy (the flavor is minimal but there) but not gamey at all! It's worth a try if you get the chance

This is something that always floors me, when people force rolls for things with no stakes or difficulty. If you've made a character who is good at something let them be good at easy things! Stakes based resolution just makes more sense to me than purely task based resolution for this reason

It can be hard to deprogram myself from always trying to intervene in my children's conflicts in a way that shuts the conflict down. I'm trying to focus instead on compromise, talking things through, apologies and validating the hurt/anger/sadness in those moments.
