At my most worried, this is what worries me most. I don’t have as much confidence as I wish I did that the earnestly worried people who want to replace Biden, if they don’t get their way, will knock it off once the question is resolved.
That's really the worst case scenario. Biden comes out and says, unequivocally, that he's staying in the race and everybody needs to quit it with asking him to drop out, and then people spend the rest of the time until the election arguing that he should drop out anyway.
The problem is you can only argue it for so long before it gets boring for everyone involved. To use the recent example of Isquith, that guy has been trying to push the "Biden old" stuff his paycheck demanded for months now & when it wasn't annoying it was just dull.
Everyone has to stop pissing themselves are they’re going to keep doing it 5 hours after they get what they thought would be a cathartic solution to all of their problems
In just think the media switches over to wall-to-wall negative coverage of Harris for whatever it is they decide is the story to pin on her to generate "clouds of uncertainty."
The thing I hate about 'discourse' is that it ends up being a brawl in barracks every time. We have never needed to be more disciplined in our actions against the obstacles set before us, and here we are arguing about bullshit with Hannibal at the gates.
