The only knock against a Dem running against Trump is age. People want to vote against Trump they just are uncomfortable with someone who is 81 and increasingly fragile and confused. Any other democrat would ruin Trump.

It’s because they feel sorry for Joe. There’s a parasociality here where people defend Joe like they would an elderly family member. It’s not that far off from Trump’s own “if they didn’t attack me they’d attack you” rhetoric.

I think passing over Harris won’t look great and that’s why she’s my pick. Plus they can pretend like it’s a relatively normal hand off. President doesn’t run…VP runs as incumbent. But I think getting the Midwest dems involved will be very important.

With the senate dems running ahead of Biden in many if not all swing states that suggests it’s either a Biden or Trump problem. MAYBE people like Trump but who would vote for Trump but against Kari Lake. Any dem without Biden’s age issue wins conclusively.

Biden is bleeding support with black voters. Skipping over Kamala for a white governor would be a slap in the face to a part of the coalition that already feels sidelined. There’s no argument to skip her. Make it Harris/Shapiro Harris/Witmer

AFAIK his delegates are tied to him in the first vote unless he releases them. Since he got 99% of the delegates that makes replacing him without his consent impossible. Delegates could revolt and refuse to vote for him but that would be messy. Jill and Barack need to speak to him today.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people on TikTok don’t know what a butterfly effect is and will just like call an homage a butterfly effect. The example I saw was Richard Pryor in the toy was referenced by Donald glover in community who then inspired Miles Morales.
