I had 14 beers tonight. This is not a brag. I'm 50 years old. My mother is insane and I am relatively poor. I reject bourgeois society. I have about $120 in a bank account because I used to sell stuff on Etsy. Bluesky is generally shit. I would love for somebody out there to prove me wrong. Amen.

For anyone who thinks the U.S. Republican Party has disintegrated because of MAGA, you need to realize that the Democratic Party is crumbling too. This may very well have been the plan for decades. Any system can and will be gamed. Interesting history to behold.

I fear this pushes our country toward a revival of extreme political violence. It's been two generations since Reagan was shot and three since the murderous blood drenched '60s. We may be at the point where the assassination of high ranking officials again becomes a rationalized political strategy.

The saddest thing to me is how so many's horizon of imagination is constrained by the beliefs that 1.) they too can become "rich" monetarily and 2.) that the main goal of life is to be "rich" monetarily. Millionaires want to be billionaires and billionaires want to be trillionaires.

The Democratic Party is unserious because if they genuinely believed our "democracy" was at stake in this election they'd have a better nominee than Joe Biden. My friend said it feels like we are in the Andropov/Chernenko era of American politics. On the surface that comment does ring true.

As a teenager in the late 80s/early 90s the classified ads in Maximum RocknRoll was where it was at! I'd send an SASE to some hopefully cool record dealer in a far away place hoping to get a photocopied list of awesome records back in a few weeks. Compared to today it was the Stone Age. I miss it!!
