as someone who just says "600 bucks" when people ask me if i do custom toys, when my website clearly says i dont, because i'm not gonna do email haggling over labor costs with someone whose budget doesn't cover materials, big respect to Jim Lee. You want your favorite artist to do your art? pay.

the price of art is what it costs the artist to learn their trade plus what it costs to ignore everyone else asking them for art and focus on what you want them to make.
