Well, I've long ago achieved the cranky old boomer part, and I am well versed in driving along the beach front, cranking out the music I enjoy very bloody loudly from my car (top down of course) so I think I'm just about there. Sadly, I'm going to need to sell the car. 🤧

Then there's just the routine grocery delivery, left on the floor, but too heavy to be easily lifted from the floor to somewhere more accessible. And yesterday's amazon delivery just dropped off. Into the wrong entrance 😖

And I find that typically things find their way to the floor several times daily. Taking something out from the pantry, but knocking something adjacent to it. Chopping some food within the very limited space that I have and some of it spills to the floor.

One of the most infuriating, frustrating things that happens to me now that I am disabled is when I deop something (or it falls) in the kitchen. I need to grab my reacher tool - usually elsewhere in the kitchen - and use it to retrieve what was dropped. This morning I dropped the reacher tool. 😖

Drinking coffee. I've just finished breakfast, which was a custard tart thingy that my social worker bought for me yesterday from Shadow Baking. They make wonderful cakes, based upon those that I've been privileged to enjoy, and my social worker is an absolute angel for bringing these for me. ♥️🍰

Busy day today My carer can't come tomorrow, so she's due now. Powered wheelchair should be here around 11, and my social worker is coming earlier than our 12:30 appointment to assist. And I need to speak with my lawyer about the pathway we're building to enable access with the wheelchair.

Still waiting for my powered wheelchair delivery, which was promised for this Thursday, but about which I have not yet heard anything from the incommunicative supplier. I've just sent a note to my transitional care team in order to try to expedite matters.

Having been found under a cabbage leaf in Straya, but residing in the USofA for a number of years, I did exactly this on my birthday, celebrating it over the whole time that the date was active throughout the whole world. Basically a forty hour birthday. So, done. More time to be kind to you

My half-sister has been travelling through Germany and Poland, visiting places from the holocaust, our mum's childhood pre and during the war, and her dad's childhood. Old ghettos and concentration camps, synagogues and cemeteries. Some of her photos are very confronting for me.
