I get this critique but also Aaron Sorkin would've had Biden grip the podium and cogently scold Trump with a soaring cascade of idioms while his male staffers sexually harass his female staffers backstage so idk

If Sorkin wrote it Biden would collapse at the climax of his election night acceptance speech with some poetic last line holding a double meaning about passing the torch. Then an Olivia Rodrigo cover of "Presence of the Lord: by Blind Faith would play over slomo of Harris holding Biden in her arms.

I'm convinced we can blame The West Wing for Democrats inability to understand political reality. The only thing less realistic than Sorkin's smart, savvy Democrat characters are his honorable, principles Republicans.
