This is a really fascinating take. Especially the "consumer identity" bit. We're coming out of an era of more passive brand loyalty ("cola wars," "I'm a Chevy guy," etc) and into a scenario where buyers expect corporations to share their values, & will cut ties if they don't. (1/2)

That generally feels like a good thing, and speaks to the accountability that Gen Z demands in many areas of life (the rise of unionization is another example). But I see your point here about the flip side of the effect, & I'll be thinking about it for a while. Thanks! (2/2)
