We are approaching the anniversary on June 12, 1963 of his murder by Byron de la Beckwith, who was found guilty of this crime only in 1994. The day before Evers' assassination, JFK gave his Civil Rights Address and George Wallace made his "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door." A momentous few days.

Conservatives on the Court, like many conservatives today, think thoughts in an abstract world existing on paper, making equivalences & implications as easy as a comma or next sentence, w/o consideration of real people, real history, real consequences. Law by thesaurus, using preferred definitions.
