I'm not sure what part of "anarchist" people don't understand when coming to me, telling me I should be happy with the current system in any way. What part of that seems even remotely tolerant of people seeking power?

This. They don’t even hide it anymore, their thirst for dominance and control and how little they actually care about the people they take charge of. Anyone who’s convinced themselves these rich assholes give a shit has lost the plot.
