It's not so much the cost that's the barrier for me, it's finding a place with artists that have styles I vibe with. My wife has two tattoos so I can get a basic idea on the prices. Lots of places nearby just don't have what I'm looking for

When I was younger, I had a focus on sci-fi but as I've grown I've noticed a massive tonal shift in my writing towards less... Hopeful futures. Worlds that are actively dying, worlds where even going outside is dangerous.
