This is besides the main point of the article, but I wonder what "the kind of public appearances necessary to quell these complaints" would entail, bc by my count Biden has made 5 public appearances since Thursday, all of them perfectly fine/good, but they dont seem to count for the feeding frenzy

Reminds me that he has been doing almost daily public appearances throughout his entire presidency to promote policies and gets just about zero coverage.

I mean this more rhetorical than anything else: is there actually any kind of public appearance at this point that will talk down the news media? Or will it just be a temporary abatement of their frenzy until the next, anonymously sourced "hes too old" article comes out (like with SOTU)?
