You're right. Typically incumbents aren't opposed, so we have a ton of examples of unopposed incumbent getting 96-100% of the vote, which is why it's concerning that he got 80% of the vote. And the other candidates weren't even on the ballot in most of the states where Biden failed to gain 92%+

I understand your point. I disagree with it. I don’t think many people at all care about the turnout in this year’s presidential primary. Heck, I’ve been all-in on Dem primaries since 2008 in WA State—and supported Warren in 2020—and I didn’t even bother to find out when the primary was this year.
