Kora & Loki came to me from being nosy about a grocery store conversation. 4 years after Tilly Mae, I wanted two dogs - didn't know until after I agreed that Kora was with pups. She gave birth on Labor Day, and we had an event to screen families and home them. They carried me through the pandemic.

Tilly Mae became my dog after a breakup. I had her for almost 15 years. She tolerated me, loved my ex, and would fixedly decide whether she liked or hated you and remembered it. She passed 8 years ago. Sometimes I call one of my dogs by her name, then get very sad. I miss her little bitchy self.

A trans girl was called slurs outside of the bathroom then beaten so bad her jaw broke & she will need surgery. Hopkins Highschool didn't report it to police or call for an ambulance. It wasn't until the community announced this rally that the school even acknowledged what happened.
