Soldiers from Marshal Zhukov's 1st Belorussian Front were the first to find Weemensch, but it was actually US intelligence that found out specifically where he was hiding. Eisenhower briefly considered sending Robert Sink's 506th Infantry Regiment (the same guys from Band of Brothers) to get him.
