Note to self :
Self, film cameras don't have VR or IS . If you want a sharp shot, take a tripod.
Because no matter how steady you think you are ,you can't hold an exposure for 1/5 of a second. . Not. Even.

They do still talk, at least to me. I remember all the events when I was very young ; our town square had eight foot wide sidewalks- and on weekends you hand to mind where you were going! The dairy had "points" you could tear off the wax cartons and bottle caps. I saved them for a flashlight 😊

Senn's Dairy was a pasteurizing and bottling plant, a sixty-five year old monument to better economic times. It has stood in ruins for decades.

Ghosts of the past; a bell telephone office that used to be staffed with operators but is now just a portal ti hardwire trunk lines -
and railroad switch signal left in a town with little train traffic.

I posted John Filo's Kent State photograph on FB -on the anniversary ,with related text about present culture and mass shootings, with footnotes. FB took it down and warned me ; I contested reasoning that the photograph is displayed in the Library of Congress. Filo was 21 years old. Journalism. .
