The illusion is we can vote 3rd party in national elections and have a 3rd party winner without massive sweeping societal changes, without the breaking up or dissolving of the current 2 major parties, and without new regulations around election coverage and funding.

This whole country, from its inception is built on illusions and delusions. This past century of unchecked consumerism combined with the lack of real existential threats by way of military might, geographic location, and carnal myopia has made this blight of a nation cruel to the point of danger.

Vote third party for local and primaries. That scares the shit out of them in higher positions and will make them do more to not lose their positions. Most of the worst these last few years have been state or local issues.
