Reddit is where I find local subcontractors, learned how to sew garments, learned photography, and went for support and (critical!) info when we got our puppy. Is it possible you just haven’t really tried it?

You're correct that Reddit is a decent source of hobby information. It's not terribly good for news, shopping, or links to government or corporate resources. It's also now insisting that I download its app to my phone, which means it's off my list of resources for anything.

Reddit is great and I’ve come to rely on it for all kinds of things. The interface isn’t shiny and nice which is a problem for some folks🤷♀️
