To me, cilantro doesn't taste like soap. It tastes like an old musty basement smells. Moldy, earthy, dirty. I'm not a regular hot tea drinker, but I have had Earl Grey a few times and was not a fan. It also had a musty aftertaste. Never knew it had bergamot in it.

Well, my heart is racing! Took dogs to the garage to eat & there was a feral cat under the car.It jumped up on a shelf at the last minute.Was able to get dogs back inside before any harm was done.Convinced cat to run off.Gave it a 30 min head start before letting dogs back out.Spay/neuter please!!๐Ÿฅบ

I complain abt having to make 3 trips from kitchen to car in the garage while lugging in bags ๐Ÿ˜‚. Can't imagine having to carry them from store, on public transport & then up any flights of stairs. Makes my 20 minute drive feel tolerable ๐Ÿ˜€. Sometimes though I do wish I didn't have to leave the house.

Both my sisters have groceries delivered. I live in a rural area & that is not an option. I did try to order groceries online for pick up, but damn! It was taking me longer to find the items online than it does to just shop in person. I'm sure if I did it more often, I'd get quicker. (Hopefully ๐Ÿ˜œ)

Some days I'm lucky to find the most beautiful mushrooms ๐Ÿ˜ Today was NOT that day. These were all close to one another. Not sure if they are all the same species & in different stages of decay. But none were very attractive looking. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ“ท

I hadn't seen any young turkeys this year. Of course they wait & come out after I've gone inside. ๐Ÿ“ท was through a window & dusty screen & they were approximately 150 ft away. They are extremely cautious. Even inside the house they noticed me, chicks ran into the woods & mothers stood motionless.๐Ÿฆƒ๐Ÿ“ท

When you live near the "Limestone Capital of the World", I suppose it's required to occasionally post pictures of limestone. So here's a couple from yesterday's town square celebration. I was able to see some lovely Gingko and Linden trees and found some bright yellow lichen ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ“ท

Ochrolechia trochophora. I love the horse teeth appearance. Iโ€™ve found a whole colony covering a large boulder along the lake. Very interesting to think how these relatively rare lichens got where they are. Lake Matsubara, Koumi-machi, Nagano #Lichen #FungiFriends

We finally had rain ๐Ÿฅณ And the temperature yesterday went from 91F/33C pre-rain, down to 70F/21C after the storm passed. What a relief! The butterfly weed has opened, the apple tree lichen made what looks like a little blossom, and the Rose of Sharon is showing off its pink flowers. ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ“ท

Think of all the vile comments over on X. Imagine having an account there since 2010.It was this topic that finally made me leave. The hate from "no shoes in the house" people was crazy. Thank you๐Ÿซ‚ Once she saw me, she stopped trying to stomp him, charged at me a bit, then finally took off after she saw my pittie mix barreling at her. Everyone (doe, fawn, dogs & me) are fine and that's all that matters. It did cut short our morning walk. Hopefully tomorrow will be less eventful.

Poor quality pic taken right before I dropped my phone and distracted the doe. She tried to stomp my beagle/basset. We stay out of the woods & away from the creek every fawn season to give them peace. And every year they decide to leave their babies in the field ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ My heart is still pounding ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ“ท

We have price stickers on items where I work. Electronic shelf pricing would be nice to have, but I don't know of any store around here that has them. Not even the big national chain stores. They all have shelf tags (not stickers on the products).

Went for a morning walk right at daybreak to avoid the heat. The bright trumpet vine flowers really stand out from all the green. This year has been a good one for the mullein. This plant was over 6' tall. The blackberries have just started to ripen. Soon it will be picking time! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ“ท

Larva of Eriocampa kurumivora. White hairs are waxy secretion. Larva without hair is just a maggot, and adult insect looks like black fly (actually bee). This larva has incredibly cute face that I couldnโ€™t get on photo. Tokikubo, Komoro, Nagano #Invertebrate #Insects
