It's sad how many folks from our blogrolls are just gone. I connected with Bronze Dog in Quora DMs years ago, but he went silent. Matt the Pooflinger disappeared. Stupid Evil Bastard Les Jenkins died a while back. I'm also really good friends still with Tom Foss from Dubito Ergo Sum, so that's nice.

FUCK. This is how I learn Les died. Just read (via Wayback) his last post, and his daughter's follow-up; that period was leading up to my first-born, and I wasn't paying much attention to online. I didn't know him well, but he was no doubt our primary blogdaddy, and he even reviewed my first novel.
